BioIn my entire life the most common thing said to me is, "You're the most unusual person I've ever met."
I lead an atypical life, to be sure. I have Chronic Major Depression, which means I'm too sad to do anything most of the time. When it lifts and lets me have a life I tend to be very active.
I am into Zen Buddhism, Kyudo, building things like taiko drums, Japanese armor, leather items and a whole bunch more. I like to drink Dr. Pepper, read (love the discworld books by Terry Pratchett), and watching all kinds of movies. I am also interested in historic events like the World Wars and Japanese history. I have been teaching sword techniques and philosophy for a long time. I'm a tool-user. I'm good with my hands, and by virtue of my unususal brain I can look at something and know how to build it. (I'm not kidding about having an unusual brain. I've been tested, and the way I think and process is shared by less then 3% od the population. Lucky me.)
I have been an active member of the SCA for about 30 years now, Knighted about 25 years ago. I am the Damyo of Clan Yama Kaminari, which is a large Japanese household in the SCA.
